Get the July cover star’s look!

Had the pleasure of styling for last month’s Living and Loving Magazine Cover shoot…take a look at how I styled Josh and Hazel in some of my favourite brands – Cotton On, Country Road, Poetry, Lovisa and Accessorize.

Model mom, Hazel Joubert and her gorgeous son, Josh are our July cover stars! Stylist Robynn Farrell shows us how to create their cover look.

Robynn says  she chose two of the hottest colours of the season – navy and orange – for Hazel and Josh. For Josh, she started with one of her favourite brands, Cotton On: “Their range is fun and always on point for a future fashionista! My favourite look for Josh was a navy and orange check shirt, paired with the tiniest pair of skinny jeans you’ve ever seen and a pair of retro sneakers.”

For his second look, Robynn selected a light-grey hooded jersey, a fine-striped T-shirt and white and navy printed leggings. She went tonal for his third look: A light grey printed tee worn underneath a grey shirt and light grey washed jeans.

Get It Magazine “Holiday Edition” Photoshoot – Leigh-anne Williams

Get It Magazine Cover

This a very special holiday post.  Once again I somehow always feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with professionals such as Leigh-anne Williams(Expressoshow presenter & Goodhope fm DJ) & Seagram Pearce(photographer extraordinaire).  We shot this cover at the gorgeous 12 Apostles Spa and as we stumbled into the foyer with gigantic dress bags and steamer trailing behind like an IV drip, two guests asked our favourite make-up artist Jane-Anne Wilson, “Are you getting married?”

“Yes” I said *grinning from ear to ear*… and so the “blushing bride” and I  missioned on to our exquisite location…the penthouse suite baby!  The view… absolutely breath-taking, couture…designer of course and the team…pffft…stellar!  I knew as every photograph was taken, that this shoot would be epic.  And so I share some of our behind the scenes shots with you…enjoy and may you have a kick ass Christmas!

GQ Feature – Graeme Richards July/August 2012 Edition

Just 5 months ago I had the privilege of working with the editor of GQ magazine,  Arthur Malan-Murison and reknowned photographer, Byron L Keulemans.  This was my first taste of studio photography and what an experience it was…chilled vibes all round.  I can still hear the hard beats blaring through musty smoke spirals as we flipped through a rail of clothing, accessories and shoes. For this shoot we collaborated to create a style that embodied Graeme Richards persona and style.  We incorporated his love for sport, namely martial arts, as well as translate who Graeme is as a TV personality on Expresso morning show
